Aly Raisman

Alexandra Rose " Aly " Raisman (born 25 May 1994, Needham, Massachusetts) is an American artistic gymnast. In 2012 she won two gold medals at the Summer Olympic Games.

Career

Raisman was born as the first of four children of Mr and Mrs Lynn and Rick Raisman. Her mother was a gymnast himself. From a young age began Aly to achieve outstanding success in the same sport. After her junior career she joined in 2010 in the adult population and achieved podium finishes in addition to tournaments like the Visa Championships, the Pacific Rim Championships and the American Cup silver medal in the team competition at the World Gymnastics Championships in Rotterdam 2010. A year later she won team gold at the 2011 World Cup in Tokyo. Raisman won silver at the 2012 American Cup in the all-around discipline and qualified for a berth in the U.S. gymnastics team for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and won the team gold medal there. She did gymnastics the last and decisive exercise on the floor. She also won the gold medal in the floor exercise and a bronze medal on the balance beam. With two gold medals and one bronze medal, she was the most successful gymnast of the Games. My home club is the Brestyan 's American Gymnastics Club in Burlington ( Massachusetts). Raisman is Jewish.
