Career
She began her career at age seven, after she was at a casting out of 1500 competitors selected. For a year, she played on a U.S. tour in the title role of the musical Annie and looked after in an American musical adaptation of Jane Eyre at the Theatre Opera Music Institute in New York. This was followed by first television roles and commercials.
Breakthrough
In 1983, she finally made a breakthrough with the role of Samantha in Who 's the Boss? . On this occasion, the family moved to Los Angeles. The series ran from 1984 to 1992 with great success. From 1997 to 1998 she played the role of Jennifer Mancini in Melrose Place.
