Alzon

Alzon is a small French village with 212 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the Languedoc- Roussillon region. It is the capital of the eponymous canton Alzon and belongs to Arrondissement Le Vigan in the department of Gard.

Geography

The village is situated in the upper reaches of the river Vis at 600 meters above sea level on the border of Hérault in the south and the Aveyron to the east within the Cevennes National Park.

The 27.48 km ² territory extends 505-1414 meters above sea level.
