Am Hart (Munich U-Bahn)

Metro Station Am Hart is a station of the Munich subway. Here runs the underground line U2 after Feldmoching.

Location

The Metro Station is parallel to Knorr street in Munich's Am Hart.

History

Metro Station Am Hart was designed by the architecture office Hilmer Sattler. It was opened on 20 November 1993.

Description

The station has a central platform, which run two tracks on both sides.

The ceiling of the station consists of white aluminum panels, like a bird's wing drag on the platform and pick up the light from the two light bands and reflect back on the platform. The side walls are covered with blue mosaic tiles, which are edged with longitudinal triangular stainless steel bands. The pillars are covered with small white glass tiles.

At the southern end of the platform leads a lift, which is enclosed with glass blocks, right on the surface. About driving and hard stairs leads into a small lock floor, from where you can reach both sides of the Knorr Street at the height of Opava road. At the northern end of the platform to get to a bus station at the height of the Sudeten Germans street. From there, a shuttle runs to the Cash & Carry stores in the Euro - industrial park.
