Am I Blood

Am I Blood is a Finnish heavy and thrash metal band that was founded in 1992 under the name St. Mucus in Helsinki.

History

The band was formed in 1992 by guitarist and singer Pasi Koskinen Janne Kerminen. Koskinen separated again in 1995 by the band, a month before the recording of their debut album Natural mutation. Kerminen also took over for the recording of the album now singing. The album was recorded in six days. The second album Am I Blood was released in 1997 and was sold throughout Europe and selected by the German Rock Hard album of the month. In 1998 appeared the next album agitation, which was produced by Daniel Bergstrand beach. The next two years the band was concerned with the writing of new songs and rehearsing with this. From the EP Gone With You was created in 2000. Afterwards, the band signed a contract with a U.S. label in 2002. However, there was disagreement, so that the contract had to be dissolved. Instead, the band reached a deal with A1 Music. With this label, the band released the album The Truth Inside the Dying Sun in 2005. After that, many members left the band, which singer and guitarist and bassist Janne Kerminen Toni Grönroos were the only remaining members. As a new cast guitarists Ilves and Max Karling, and drummer Pekka Sauvolainen came to the band.

Style

The band plays classic thrash metal, wherein the band often accused Metallica to imitate. As examples, especially the songs ... And Justice for All and Welcome Home ( Sanitarium ) are called.
