Amadou Jawo
Amadou Jawo ( born September 26, 1984 in Banjul) is a Swedish football player with Gambian roots. The striker made his debut in 2009 in the Swedish professional football and ran since Gefle IF and IF Elfsborg in Allsvenskan on. His brother Omar Jawo is also football player.
Career
Born in Gambia Jawo came with his family at the age of five years after Sweden. She settled in Täby north of Stockholm, the father took a job there in a hotel. Despite initial language problems he found about the football games friends and joined the local sports club IK Frej on, in which his siblings were active. At the age of 16 he made his debut for the club in the adult team. 2002 Jawo joined the third division of his time Vallentuna BK, but with which he descended as a table next to last in the Viertklassigkeit at the end of the 2004. After Jawo had previously played at Djurgårdens IF, he signed in November 2007, after a trial, a three-year contract with Gefle IF. With his new club, he quickly established himself as a regular force, coach Per Olsson put him in his first season in 27 of the 30 league games a.
