Amalia Pachelbel

Amalia Pachelbel, married Berry ( born October 29, 1688 in Erfurt, † December 6, 1723 in Nuremberg) was a German painter and engraver.

Pachelbel was a daughter of composer Johann Pachelbel. She had six siblings. Her artistic talent was encouraged in his early youth. She received training as a Aquarellistin and engraver. From her come several watercolors of flowers images, and coats of arms and emblems.

Beginning of the 18th century issued the first sewing and embroidery pattern book for which she designed the sewing, embroidery and drawing templates. The motifs contained therein cover the following canon: floral wreaths, bouquets, vases and religious motives. In the preface to Neh and embroidery book states that she was a famous artist, not only with the needle, but at the same time with the brush ( talking so many of its Perfection verfertigte feats ... ) .1715 married Amalia Pachelbel notary JG Beer. She died in Nuremberg on 6 December 1723.

At its Erfurt birthplace is commemorated by a plaque on the artist.
