Amandine Bourgeois
Amandine Bourgeois ( born June 12, 1979 in Angoulême ) is a French singer. She won in 2007, the sixth season of the French talent show Nouvelle Star and represented France in the Euro Vision Song Contest 2013.
Life and career
Amandin Bourgeois' father and her step- father are musicians and influence their musical development. At the age of seven, she learned music theory and at the age of nine years at the Conservatory of Nice flute. As a teenager she formed her first rock band and gave several concerts in Albi, Gaillac and Toulouse. Then she attended a hotel management school and worked in luxury hotels in the UK and in the Balearic Islands. In 2001 she returned to Toulouse back and she turned again to the music, was a singer of several musical groups and got roles in two musicals " Le Casting " (2005) and "The Wall" (2006).
In 2007, she was contacted by the production team of the talent show Nouvelle Star on their website on Myspace, containing compositions and musical interpretations. In Toulouse, she presented herself to the jury and is recorded. In the spring of 2008, she then won the sixth season of the talent show Nouvelle Star. Eleven months later appeared end of May 2009 their debut album " 20 sqm ." According to Radio Europe 1, the title alludes to the room into which she retired to write the songs with her boyfriend. After winning Nouvelle Star she refused the offer of their record company Sony from making an album of cover versions, because it " did not correspond to her nature ". The songs on the album were produced largely written by Amandine Bourgeois herself and her boyfriend Guillaume Soulan, individual numbers come from Ariane Moffatt and Jeanne Cherhal.
On January 22, 2013 it was announced that Bourgeois France with the song L' enfer et moi (German Hell and I ) will be represented at the Euro Vision Song Contest in Malmo. Your title was thereby selected by a twelve-member jury. Bourgeois reached the finals and eventually finished under 26 finalists the 23th Place.
