Amar-Sin

Amar -Sin of Ur was from 2046 to 2038 BC, king of Sumer and Akkad.

He was the third ruler of the Third Dynasty of Ur and followed his father to the throne Shulgi. He largely continued his father's work. In his reign, among others were various construction projects as well as the war against the Hurrians on the northern border of the empire in the area of present-day Kurdistan.
