Amasea (titular see)

Amasea is a Titularerzbistum the Roman Catholic Church.

It goes back to an earlier Diocese of the eponymous town in the Roman province of Bithynia et Pontus or Diospontus and in late antiquity Helenopontus on the Turkish Black Sea coast of Sinop.
