Amaury Sport Organisation

The Amaury Sport Organization ( ASO ) is a French company with headquarters in Issy -les -Moulineaux, Hauts -de -Seine département, which specializes in the organization and management of major sports events. The company, founded in 1992 is a subsidiary of the French press group Philippe Amaury, which produces, among other things, the sports newspaper L' Equipe and Le Parisien newspaper.

The A.S.O. is a wider public, especially through the organization of the cycling race Tour de France (via the " Société du Tour de France " ) and another classic one day races (Paris- Roubaix, Liège -Bastogne -Liège, La Flèche Wallonne, Paris -Tours, Classique of Alpes ) and stage races (Paris- Nice, Criterium International, Tour de l' Avenir, Tour du Faso Tour of Qatar ) and to 2004 known of this important time trial Grand Prix des Nations. 2013 is also the first aligned the Arctic Race of Norway by the ASO.

The company also organizes the Dakar Rally, also the Marathon de Paris as well as tournaments in golf and horse riding.
