Amazon is an American documentary from the year 1997.

Action

The film takes the audience into the world of the Amazon, the largest river of the world. Many of the animals living here and plants are unknown to most people. Only a few members of the indigenous tribes, especially the shamans and medicine men, the secrets of this as yet undiscovered by science types know. One of these shamans meets on his journey down the river the Ethnobotanisten Dr. Mark Plotkin. The locals shows the researcher a variety of animals and plants and the native people living here.
