The Amazon Kingfisher ( Chloroceryle amazona ) is a kingfisher of the Neotropics.

Features

The Amazon Kingfisher has the typical Eisvogelform with a short tail and a long beak. Upper hand, he is colored metallic green, neck and throat are white. Occurrence

Reproduction

The bird burrows in riverbanks up to 1.6 m long tube that has a diameter of 10 cm. The female lays three or four white eggs.
