Ambano

Ambano is a city and a municipality in Madagascar. It belongs to the district of Antsirabe II, which belongs to the region Vakinankaratra in the province of Antananarivo. The population of the commune was estimated in 2001 to 32,000.

Primary education and secondary education are available in town. The majority ( 95 %) of the local population is engaged in agriculture, while another 5% earn their livelihood with the livestock. The main agricultural income consist of vegetables and fruits, especially citrus fruits, and potatoes.
