Amber Smith is a Founded in 2000, indie band from Budapest, Hungary.

Band History

Amber Smith was founded in 2000 as the singer, guitarist and songwriter Imre Poniklo project. After the first two albums Nincs szükség Rank ( 2001) and My Little Servant ( 2003) crystallized a solid band with Oszkar Ács ( bass), Zoltán Kovary (guitar) and Bence Bátor (guitar) out. The band toured through Europe and then Japan.

Was published in 2004 Reprint, which was musically new paths. Robin Guthrie of the Cocteau Twins took over the production of the album. The album is a mix of rock and New Wave elements. From German media compared to The Cure, The Pretenders, HIM and your lackeys were drawn. It was emphasized that " dark - melancholic [e ] " mood of the songs.

The band worked on their new album in 2007. Chris Brown, who has worked with Radiohead and Paul McCartney, was engaged in the production. In 2008, the album was released on the independent label Fire Station Records in Germany.
