Ambra Vallo
Ambra Vallo (* in Naples) is an Italian classical ballet dancer. She is currently a Principal Dancer with the Royal Ballet.
Work
She trained at the Royal Ballet School of Flanders. inaugurate the ballet season of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. At seventeen she was invited as a guest by Vladimir Vasiliev. Already a soloist of the " Royal Opera of Wallonia " and after the " Royal Ballet of Flanders " has senior soloist of the English National Ballet in 1993. At the Royal Festival Hall in 1995 Vallo is Juliet and maintains the personal congratulations of Lady Diana.
From 2001, she is the most famous "Principal" of the Birmingham Royal Ballet. Called "Diamond " by Debra Crain ( The Times) and " First Class Ballerina " by Emma Manning ( The stage ).
Awards
She gained worldwide critical acclaim through participation in several international competitions. She won the first prize at the "International Grand Prix Luxembourg " and the silver medal at Houlgate, France. In Debrett's people of today it is included among the thousand most famous people of the United Kingdom.
In Italy, she won prizes in "Danza e Danza " ( Best Dancer, 2004), Positano ( Critics' Award in 1991 and 2002) and Rieti ( gold medal ). In 2009 she won along with Fabio Cannavaro and Gianluigi Aponte at the Teatro San Carlo of Naples, the prize " Excellence in Neapolitan World" by the minister Silvio Berlusconi.
