Ambrugeat

Ambrugeat ( Ambrujac in Occitan ) is a commune with 201 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities Ussel - Meymac - Haute- Corrèze. The inhabitants call themselves Ambrugeacois (it).

Geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central on the Plateau de Millevaches and thus also in the Regional Natural Park Millevaches en Limousin, right on the western shore of Lac de Sèchemailles and about seven kilometers south of Mont Bessou.

Tulle, prefecture of the department is located, about 50 kilometers south-west, Égletons about 15 kilometers southwest and Ussel about 15 kilometers to the east.

Neighboring communities of Ambrugeat are Meymac the north and east, Davignac in the south, Bonnefond in the southwest and Pérols -sur -Vézère in the West.

The Dadalouze, a tributary of the Correze, rises in the municipality of Ambrugeat.

Traffic

The village is located about 15 kilometers northwest of the junction 23 of the A89 autoroute.
