Ameinias of Athens

Ameinias (Greek: Ἀμεινίας ), was a Greek Trier captain of the Athenian demos Pallene. According to Diodorus 9,7,2 He was a brother of the poet Aeschylus. Ameinias participated in the Battle of Salamis in 480 BC part ( Herodotus 8, 43 93), and to have been the first Greek who has sunk a Persian ship. He almost said to have also the ship of Artemisia, Queen of Halicarnassus sunk; this is said to have saved only by sinking one of their ships.
