América 2

2 América ( América TV, formerly Canal 2 ) is an Argentine TV station from La Plata. He belongs together with Telefe, Canal 13, Canal 7 and Canal 9 's five channels, whose programs can be received in a large part of the country (partly through other channels) via antenna.

History

Canal 2 La Plata was founded in 1966 and was due to its good receptivity in the neighboring city of Buenos Aires and its metropolitan area soon became one of the most important stations in the country.

In 1987, he was the media entrepreneur Héctor Ricardo García, who also managed the newspaper Crónica, and renamed Teledos. There followed a period of commercial success until withdrew because of differences with the shareholders García in the same year.
