America West Airlines

America West was an American airline based in Phoenix (Arizona ). In 2005 she took over U.S. Airways, after the middle of 2007 all activities were consolidated under the name U.S. Airways.

History

Flight operations started on 1 August 1983. On 27 September 2005 took America West, U.S. Airways. The resulting new company now bares the internationally known name U.S. Airways, by the end of 2007, all operations of America West have been converted to the new name.

Fleet

The fleet consisted of America West last of 132 aircraft and was transferred during the merger with U.S. Airways, along with all orders in their fleet.
