The American Airlines Arena is a multi- function hall in Miami, Florida. In addition to the basketball home games of the Miami Heat, concerts and other events are held there.
In November 1998, the construction work delayed due to a fire in the upper part of the building, the hall but was finally opened on 31 December 1999 and since January 2000, the venue for the Miami Heat, the previously played in the Miami Arena.
The WNBA team the Miami Sol, a women's basketball team that played between 2000 and 2002 also at the American Airlines Arena, but they had after three seasons set the play mode for financial reasons.
