American Buffalo (coin)

The American Buffalo is a 24 -carat gold coin investment ( 99.99% fineness ). The weight is 1 troy ounce ( 31.1035 grams). It is published by the United States Mint ( Mint of the United States ) since 22 June 2006, minted in West Point (New York). This is the first coined by the U.S. Mint fine gold coin. The nominal value is 50 U.S. dollars. The coin can be used as legal tender.

The design of the front and back leaning against a 5 cent coin from 1913 on ( Indian Head Nickel, Buffalo Nickel ).
