American Center for Law & Justice

The American Center for Law and Justice ( ACLJ ) is an American evangelical right to life organization.

History

The ACLJ was founded in 1990 by evangelical televangelist Pat Robertson as a counterbalance to the American Civil Liberties Union to counter religious intolerance against Christians. The headquarters of the organization is headquartered in Washington, D.C. In 1992, Robertson Jay Sekulow appointed director and general counsel. Sekulow who successfully led several proceedings before the Supreme Court of the United States and is considered an advocate of conservative interests, the Religious Right in the United States is attributed. The European Centre for Law and Justice ( ECLJ ) was founded in 1998 by Jay Alan Sekulow and Thomas Patrick Monaghan as the European arm of the ACLJ.
