American Greetings (English for "American Greetings" ) is the world's largest publisher of greeting cards. The company is based in Cleveland in the U.S. state of Ohio and sells greeting cards, party products, such as gift wrap and decorations, and electronic services, such as ring tones and images for mobile phones. In addition to the American Greetings brand the company is also the greeting cards brand Carlton Cards, Tender Thoughts and Gibson.

History

By a Polish immigrant named Jacob Sapirstein (1885-1987) founded in 1906, sold the cards from a horse-drawn carriage, was led by his family American Greetings from the beginning. Irving I.
