American Overseas Airlines

American Overseas Airlines ( AOA ), created from the American Export Airlines, founded in 1937, is an American airline. It was founded by the shipping company American Export Lines. The aim was to offer Atlantic connections. So she started in 1942 to connect New York - Ireland with flying boats.

In November 1945, American Export Airlines after the merger of the transatlantic division of American Airlines to American Overseas Airlines.
