American Show Racer

Show Racer pigeons are a breed and belong to the group of the form pigeons.

Origin

They were middle of the 20th century in the United States from English and Belgian racing pigeons and English Homer races, as well as English Owls.

Appearance

Medium strong dove with an erect habit. The plumage is the whole body taut. The head is broad, strong, smooth and goes from beak in a vault up to the neck. This is strong and tapers only slightly upward. The beak is of medium length, strong and has beak warts.

The eye color is reddish, with the white dark. The rim of the eyes depends dark to bright of plumage color The chest is broad and rounded. The back is also wide, drops sharply to the tail tapers and wedge-shaped. The tail is completely closed and not touching the ground.

The wings cover the entire back and be worn on the tail without reaching the tail end. The legs are of medium length and muscular unbefiedert.
