Ametrine

Ametrine, also known under the trade name Bolivianit, Amecitrin or Trystin, is a Mineralvarietät of quartz and a rare combination of purple amethyst and golden citrine in one stone.

Ametrine is processed into semi-precious stones and traded openly since 1989.

Most important mining areas for natural Ametrine are Bolivia and Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul ).

And in gemstone therapy to the Amethyste the subjective effect is ascribed to solve dense blockages, relieve pain, help with depression, stress, digestive problems and insomnia, reduce anxiety and to strengthen the defense. Scientific evidence for such an effect does not exist.
