The 723 km long Amgun (Russian Амгунь ) is a left tributary of the Amur River in the Russian Far East ( Asia).

The Amgun arises on the eastern flank of the Burejagebirges in 590 m height from the headwaters Ajakit and Suluk (also Choluk ). It first flows about 200 km in a valley partly mountainous character between Burejagebirge and Badschalgebirge, in northeastern directions.
