Amiens SC

The Amiens Sporting Club is a French football club from the city of Amiens, the capital of northern France Somme region in the center of Picardy.

It was founded on October 6, 1901 as the Amiens Athletic Club; 1961 to 1989 he was called Sporting Club d' Amiens and since then he bears his current name. The club colors are white and black; league team plays at the Stade de la Licorne, which has a capacity of 12,097 seats.

Club president is Bernard Joannin; the first team is coached since the end of September 2013 by Olivier Echouafni, which replaced after a false start the team Francis De Taddeo. (As of September 2013)

League membership

In the professional field Amiens was active from 1933 to 1952 and again since 1993. First class (Division 1 since 2002 in Ligue 1 renamed) the club played only during the unofficial war championships from 1941 until 1943.
