Amiga 3000UX

The A3000UX is a model of the Amiga computer by Commodore series and was shipped with Commodore Amiga UNIX instead of AmigaOS.

Amiga UNIX - also called AMIX - was not a Unix clone, but a complete port of a UNIX System V Release 4 from AT & T.

Offer by Sun

Sun Microsystems offered to Commodore Amiga Inc. to produce the A3000UX under license as a low-end complement to their own workstations. The offer was rejected by the Commodore management, because it was believed here in the great breakthrough of the A3000UX.

Specifications

The technical data correspond to those of the Amiga 3,000.
