Amik

Amik was the mascot of the 1976 Summer Olympic Games in Montreal. The figure was a black beaver with a red sash around the waist.

The word Amik comes from the language of the Algonquian Indians and called the beaver. The winning design was chosen to symbolize the kindness, patience and hard work that helped build Canada and to make large.
