Amine Laâlou

Amines Laalou (Arabic أمين لعلو, DMG Amīn La ʿ lu; born May 13, 1982 in Salé ) is a Moroccan middle distance runner.

Life

Initially he specialized in the 800 - meter track and was in this discipline in 2001 African Youth Vice Champion. In the adult area, he retired at the World Athletics Championships 2003 in Paris / Saint- Denis in the lead, but was already in the following year at the World Indoor Championships in Budapest fourth. At the 2004 Olympics in Athens and at the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005 he reached the semi-finals. In 2007 he was at the World Championships in Osaka in sixth, and in 2008 he came again at the Olympic Games in Beijing to the semifinals.

As of the 2009 season, he started in the 1500 -meter run. At the World Championships in Berlin, he was about 800 meters and 1500 meters Tenth fifth. A further fifth over 1500 meters at the World Indoor Championships in Doha in 2010 followed the same distance of winning the silver medal at the African Championships in Nairobi.

Amines Laalou initially wanted to be like his father, basketball player before his running talent was discovered. He is trained by Ayoub Mendili and starts for Olympique Marocain.

In early August 2012, a positive doping result Laalous ( furosemide) on 20 July 2012 at the Diamond League in Monaco known and Laalou refused entry to the UK at the 2012 Olympic Games.
