Amir Khosrow Afshar

Amir Khosrow Afshar Ghassemlou KCMG ( born 1918 in Tehran ) was Persian and Iranian Foreign Minister Ambassador.

Life

Afshar Ghassemlou, Amir Khosrow was the son of Sedigeh and Seif Saltaneh Afshar. He had a son and two daughters.

Amir Khosrow Afshar studied economics and social science at the American Colledge in Tehran, at the University of Geneva in 1941 and joined the Foreign Service.

He was Secretary of the Embassy first class in Washington, DC and in 1947 a member of the Iranian delegation at the UN headquarters later, he served as Under Secretary in the Iranian Foreign Ministry. In 1960 he was chargé d'affaires of the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

In 1971, he was Ambassador to the Court of St James's.
