Amir Reza Khadem Azghadi (Persian امیررضا خادم, born February 10, 1970 in Mashhad ) is a former Iranian freestyle wrestler and current politician. He was a participant at the Summer Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988, Barcelona 1992, Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000

Career

Amir Reza Khadem Azghadi is the son of Vice - featherweight world champion in freestyle wrestling from 1962 Mohammad Khadem Khorasani and the brother of Rasoul Khadem Azghani. He started as a teenager, also with the rings and was trained by his father. He also wrestled in free style. At the age of 18 years, he managed to qualify for the Iranian team at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul. He started there in lightweight and won in his first fight on the Egyptian El Khodary, then he lost to Jukka Rauhala, Finland, triumphed over the Syrians Wattar and lost to eventual Olympic champion arsenic Fadsajew, Soviet Union. He finished in 11th place.

He is currently a deputy in the Iranian Parliament as a representative from Tehran.
