Amirjan Sabori

Amiryan Sabori ( Dari امير جان صبوري; * in Herat ) is an Afghan singer, composer and poet.

Sabori left in the years of the war in Afghanistan and currently lives in Canada. Amiryan Sabori had a long break in his career.

After the fall of the Taliban, the music, art and dance did not appreciate, he visited his hometown and stayed in Kabul for a long time. He is one of the first musicians who contributed to the reconstruction of music in Afghanistan. In Persian- speaking countries such as Iran and Tajikistan, his songs were very well known.

The performance of the musician is so to connect the Afghan or Indo-Iranian melodies with components of western polyphony and music with various keys, chords professionally after harmony. With a composite of different ethnic groups of Central Asia orchestra, he sang his song separation, which can be interpreted as a symbol of his separation from the homeland.

The themes of his music go back to the ancient cultural traditions of the country, which he tried with new and modern tones and instruments to symbolize.

2005 came his new album, even in his native language Dari or Farsi, Zindagi Hamen branch out, which he sang together together with Homayon Hazbar Shinwari and Wahid Qasemi ( grandchild of Qasem Jo ).
