Ammann Group

The Ammann Group Holding AG is a Swiss engineering company that specializes in the manufacture and marketing of mixing equipment, machinery and services for the construction industry, with a focus on road construction, concentrated.

The Group employs around 3,400 people and generated 2012 sales of 960 million Swiss francs. The company has been founded in the family, and is now under the direction of Hans Christian Schneider ( CEO) and Christoph Lindenmeyer (board president) led the successor of the elected in the Federal Councillor Johann Schneider -Ammann of representatives of the fifth and sixth generation. The Group has its head office in Bern, the headquarters is located, however, in Langenthal.

History

1869 Jakob Ammann of Switzerland in its own workshop and extended the product range in the coming years continuously. In 1911, Ammann developed the first engine road roller. 1931, the first steps have been taken abroad, the same year signed a representation contract with Caterpillar Ammann of Switzerland.

In 1984, Ammann in Germany to the estate of the Alfelder ironworks and manufactures at their site today for asphalt mixing plants. Next Ammann bought in Germany the company Duomat for light compaction. In 1989 saw the establishment of the joint venture company Ammann- Yanmar in France for the production of compact excavators. Six years later, again the grave roller manufacturer Rammax was acquired in Germany. In 2005, Amman opened in Shanghai its own production and took over in the Czech Republic the company Stavostroj, which produces heavy tandem rollers.

Divisions

Ammann manufactures not only asphalt mixing plants and produced this for over 100 years. Since 1908 the asphalt mixing plants are patented. To date, more than 2850 plants have been sold worldwide. Next produced Ammann compaction products and asphalt pavers. In addition, Ammann also produces concrete mixing plants and is involved in the processing technology.
