Ammonius (crater)

Ammonius is a small impact crater on the Moon 9 km in diameter. He is bowl -like shape and its edge extends slightly up on the area. It lies in the crater floor of the 150 km Great Barrier Level Ptolemy, about 30 km north-east from the center of this large crater.

In the very smooth wall level with the sun is low (see Terminator ) to recognize some almost disappeared due to erosion "ghost craters ". inter alia, a 15 km large, just north of Ammonius, who is referred to as Ptolemy B.
