Ammoudia, Preveza

Ammoudia (Greek Αμμουδιά: " sandy beach " ) is a small fishing town on the west coast in the Greek region of Epirus on the Ionian Sea. It forms a local community in the municipality of Fanari the municipality of Parga and is situated about ten kilometers south of the town of Parga. Ammoudia had 2011 308 inhabitants in the year.

The main industry is in addition to the fishing tourism.

The village lies on a crescent-shaped bay, with about 800 feet of sandy beach, the water appears depending on the time of day turquoise and aquamarine. In addition to the Bay of Acheron whose fresh water lowers the salinity of the sea water of the bay opens.

Ammoudia is setting for the novel The ouzo oracle of Frank Schulz, where it is, however, called Kouphala.
