Amon Tobin

Amon Adonai Santos de Araújo Tobin ( born February 7, 1972 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian musician and DJ, who is known for his sound building of jazz, samba and drum -and- bass - fragments. Also known under the name Cujo, Two Fingers (originally a duo with double click, now solo project ) and Eskamon ( a duet with Eskmo ).

Life

Born in Brazil and is understood as a Brazilian Tobin came as a child with his family to Britain, where he grew up. In 2003, he moved to Montreal.

First he was interested Tobin for hip-hop, blues and jazz. He released four EPs and an album under the stage name Cujo before the label Ninja Tune in 1996 graduated a record deal. After a hiatus of four years, he entered into an agreement with Ubisoft, a manufacturer of software for computer games. There he composed two soundtracks for the game Tom Clancy 's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (published in 2005 and 2011). Amon Tobin was involved in 2006 in the score or the soundtrack of the film Taxidermia. In the movie 21, he is also represented with the already appeared on his album song Always. In 2009 he released his first album under the pseudonym Two Fingers.

Tobin worked with, among others, Bonobo, Kid Koala, Mike Patton and Noisia.

Style

Tobin's music is based on an intensive use of samples, one of which he used in a single song up to 80. Especially frequently he draws on hip-hop, jazz and drum -and- bass pieces. To go to copyright problems out of the way, he uses appropriate filter:
