Amor Electro

Amor Electro is one of four Portuguese band that has been founded by the singer Marisa Liz 2010 after retirement from Donna Maria.

Career

The first appearance denied the group at the Christmas Gala of the television station SIC, where she presented her debut single A máquina ( acordou ). Produced by Tiago Pais Dias album was released in April 2011. It reached the top of the Portuguese sales charts, in which it was conducted over 60 weeks.

In September 2011 the band was nominated for Best Portuguese Act to be held in Frankfurt in November 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards 2012. In 2013 they were awarded with the European Border Breakers Award ( EBBA ).

Style

The band combines elements of electronic and classic pop music with an urban Portuguese music, both musically and lyrically and their occurrence. In particular, the singer often refers to Fado. The band is looking Anglo- American pop music traditions with traditions in Portugal to join.
