AMOS (programming language)

AMOS Basic ( AM stands for Amiga) is a technology developed for Amiga computers variant of the BASIC programming language that was developed in 1990 by Francois Lionet and published by Mandarin Software.

1992 came two extensions to " AMOS 3D" ( with commands and tools for 3D programming ) and " AMOS - The compiler ". The compiler creates from, usually performed by interpreters, AMOS Basic programs independently executable programs, that do not require an interpreter.

The end of 1992 was released as another version also " AMOS Professional".

The source code of Amos is at the company Clickteam ( one of the founders is Francois Lionet ) available for download (see links).

One of the peculiarities of this BASIC dialect is the integrated scripting language " AMAL " ( AMOS Animation Language), with which you can animate and control sprite ( computer graphics ) parallel to the normal program.
