Amsterdam Lelylaan train station is a through station, the Dutch railway company NS in the west of the Dutch capital Amsterdam. The station is served by trains of long-distance and local transport and the Amsterdam Metro.

History

The station was opened with the commissioning of the railway line Amsterdam Centraal Schiphol on 1 June 1986. At the same time, the Amsterdam De Vlugtlaan train station and the high level of Station Amsterdam Sloterdijk were put into operation on the track. The station is located in high altitude and crosses three roads. In 1988, the tram line was extended to 17 after Osdorp and held this time at the station, where since commissioning already held the line 1. The metro line 50 stops at the station since 1997. Between 1986 and 1996 the station was an important long-distance traffic stop in the Dutch railway system. Meanwhile stops there only one intercity and two transport lines. However, the station and its surroundings should be thoroughly overhauled in the coming years.

Location

The station is located about 5 km south-west of Amsterdam Central Station. It lies parallel to the Amsterdam ring road in the Slotervaart district.

Station

The station is a through station, which is home to four tracks on two platforms. On the tracks 1 and 2 hold the local and long-distance trains, the metro lines 50 to hold the western two tracks of the station.
