The Amsterdam Sloterdijk railway station is a railway station tower of the Dutch railway company NS in the west of the Dutch capital Amsterdam. It is a major hub for local and long distance services. With approximately 54,000 supply and transit passengers is one of the biggest stations in the Netherlands, and the second busiest in Amsterdam.

History

The first station under the name in 1956 to the south of the present station was opened at the former village to tap Sloterdijk and the Western Area. It only had a connection to Haarlem. Opened in 1983, when the present station was initially consisted of only one compound according to Zaandam. The station was traveled on the upper level and had the name Sloterdijk -Noord.
