Amt Wachsenburg

Office Wachsenburggemeinde is a municipality in the Thuringian Ilm-Kreis. In the municipality of 6359 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).

Geography

The municipality is located in the northwestern part of the Ilm -Kreis. The western and northern boundary is also the boundary of the Ilm -Kreis district of Gotha. In the north also borders the district-free city Erfurt to the community, in the east borders the municipalities Rockhausen and Kirchheim the administrative community Riechheimer mountain on. In the south of the municipal area is bounded by the district town of Arnstadt and the community Gossel the administrative community Upper Geratal.

The Municipal Office Wachsenburggemeinde consists of the districts Bittstädt, Eischleben, Haarhausen, Holzhausen, Ichterhausen, Rehestädt, Röhrensee, brawn bridges and Thörey. Administrative center of the municipality is Ichterhausen.

History

The locations of the community have long historical and economic ties to each other. In the 19th century included the Wachsenburggemeinde and the community Ichterhausen to the Official Ichterhausen and Wachsenburggemeinde the duchy of Saxe -Gotha or Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. In the GDR, they belonged to the community association Ichterhausen. This cooperation was not continued after the year 1990. Instead, the town of Arnstadt took from 18 October 1996, the tasks of a fulfilling community for Wachsenburggemeinde true.

On 10 November 2011, the City Council of the Wachsenburggemeinde decided to abolish the agreement of the community met with the city of Arnstadt. The City Council met Arnstädter not identical decision. Population surveys, which were conducted in Ichterhausen and Wachsenburggemeinde, the majority of residents of both communities supported the merger. In Ichterhausen agreed with a stake of 57.2 percent as 95.2 percent of respondents to the community merger. In the Wachsenburggemeinde approximately 94.3 percent of respondents in a stake of 60.5 percent from the integration process. In addition, the city of Arnstadt had conducted a citizen survey until 1 November 2011. With a participation rate of 39 percent to 87 percent of the participants were in favor of a merger of the city with the community Ichterhausen and Wachsenburggemeinde in the event of a future municipal reform in Thuringia.

After approval by the Committee on Internal Affairs of the Thuringian state parliament the parliament approved the inclusion on 22 November 2012.

On December 31, 2012, Wachsenburggemeinde was incorporated into the municipality Ichterhausen and so extended community Ichterhausen renamed Office Wachsenburggemeinde. The term describes in Thuringia Office does not hold office in the municipal legal sense.

Population Development

The population of the districts remained fairly constant over a long period, with the exception of layer Ershausens, the end of the 19th century and in the 20th century turned into an industrial center and therefore experienced a relatively strong population growth. After 1990, a strong suburbanization of Erfurt and Arnstadt reached many districts, so that the number of inhabitants increased. Since the ebbing of this wave to 2000, the population has declined slightly, although the demographics somewhat less dramatic runs than in many other rural communities in Thuringia.
