The Office mountains are a smaller area, to 392.2 m above sea level. NN high mountain range in the southern Lower Saxony ( Germany ) in Dassel.

Geography

Location

The deciduous forest -rich ridge Amtsberge is located directly at the interface of the districts of Northeim ( major part of the official Mountains) and wood Minden (North West part of the official Mountains) as well as Leinebergland the east and Weser Uplands in the west. It is located northeast of the Solling, so it belongs to its foothills. In the north - northwest of the Amtsberge is the Homburg Forest and north - northeast of the ridge Elfas. Name

John crab called the ridge in his map of the Solling 1603 "dog jerks ", so it was assumed that this was a reference to the curved in the shape of the back of a dog mountain silhouette.
