Amusia

Amusia (syn. Amusia, Dysmusie or Dysmusia, from Greek ἄμουσος amousos, unmusical ') is the inability to recognize despite intact sensory organs, melodies and / or rhythms and reproduce it vocal or instrumental. The amusia is thus a form of ( auditory ) agnosia.

Amusia may be either congenital ( " congenital " ) or acquired ( by damage to the brain).
