Amy Tryon

Amy Tryon ( born February 24, 1970 in Redmond, Washington, † April 12, 2012 in Duvall, Washington) was an American eventer. She participated in two Olympic Games.

Career

Tryon had. By her mother, who himself rode, early contact with horses At the age of just one year, she got together with her older sister her first pony. At the age of five she rode first tests. She studied at Central Washington University in Ellensburg. Amy Tryon was initially working as a firefighter, equestrian, she ran the side as a hobby. This was followed with her horse Poggio II several championship appearances, including at two Olympic Games. Your biggest individual success came in 2006 when she won the individual bronze medal at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen. In the same year, she gave up her old job and was finally professional rider. Tryon was married for 16 years, her husband was also active in the fire station.

A low point in her career had Amy Tryon in 2007: Tryon rode the gelding Le Samurai at the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event. Before the last obstacle to the cross-country course Le Samurai came to stumble and injured his, yet Tryon rode up to the target. After the ride the gelding was taken to a veterinary clinic, but had to because of the severity of the injury to be euthanized. The FEI Tribunal sentenced to a two- month ban and a fine. Minimises guilt was judged that they publicly apologized for their misbehavior, they have not then recognized the situation and respond correctly. In a deliberate behavior a penalty up to lifetime Ineligibility would have been possible. In addition, the organizer was admonished by the FEI Tribunal, the rider should have been stopped much earlier before the finish.

Amy Tryon died 12 April 2012 in her sleep, she had lain down to rest. On Sunday before a horse Tryon had dislocated his jaw, she was operated below. Consequently, it had taken, according to her husband, muscle relaxants, pain killers and " also evidence of some other things " to himself. At necropsy an (accidental ) overdose of opiates combined was found to be the cause of death.
