An Kum-ae

An Kum- ae ( born June 3, 1980 in Pyongyang, North Korea) is a North Korean judoka.

An Kum- ae ( letters also: An Kum Ae ) lives in Pyongyang, North Korea. At the 2005 World Championships she won the bronze medal in the half- lightweight (52 kg) against Lyudmila Bogdanova of Russia. In 2006, she occupied at the Asian Games in Mongolia 2nd place against Mönkhbaataryn Bundmaa from Mongolia. At the 2007 World Championships she finished 3rd. In 2008 she won the silver medal against Xian Dongmei from China at the Beijing Olympics in the final.

She won the first gold medal of these Olympics for North Korea against Yanet Bermoy from Cuba at the Olympic Games in London 2012. This was the total of 11 gold medal in history for North Korea at the Olympics, see list of Olympic medal winners from North Korea.
