an-Nasir Dawud

Al -Malik al-Nasir Salah ad-Din Dawud ( † around 1256) was an Emir of Syria and Palestine from the dynasty of the Ayyubids. He was a son of the Emir al - Mu'azzam ' Isa and a great-nephew of the famous Saladin.

An-Nasir his father died in November 1227 followed by the domination of Syria with the capital Damascus. Against him allied themselves immediately his uncle al - Kamil, who had already fought against his father, and al - Ashraf. Not to be confused is an-Nasir Dawud with his cousin an-Nasir Yusuf († 1260 ), who was the last Ayyubidenherrscher of Damascus.
