Ana Cabecinha

Ana Cabecinha ( born April 29, 1984 in Santiago Maior, Beja ) is a Portuguese athlete who had reached the eighth place in the 20 - kilometer walk at the 2008 Olympic Games.

Cabecinha 2003 won the bronze medal at the European Junior Championships in the 10,000 m track walking. 2005 and 2008 she won the Portuguese Cup over this distance. 2006 and 2010 she won both at the Ibero-American Championships in the 10,000 meters.

2005 Cabecinha occupied the fourth place at the U23 European Championships in the 20 -kilometer road walking. In the 2008 Olympics she finished in eighth place on 20 km and went there in 1:27:46 personal best; it was to be the best Portuguese two places ahead of Vera Santos. Two years later she also took at the 2010 European Championships in eighth place, but this time it was two places behind Vera Santos.
